Royal Links Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The course, which first opened for play in 1998, was designed by Dye Designs International.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,092 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,142 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 621 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays 153 yards from the back tees.
This is a links-style course. The course holes were inspired by holes on eleven different British Open rotation courses. They include the Road Hole and Hell Bunker from the Old Course at St. Andrews and the Postage Stamp from Royal Troon. Other courses in the loop include Carnoustie, Turnberry, Royal Liverpool, Prestwick, Royal Lytham, Muirfield and Royal Birkdale.
Markers are prominent on the holes indicating the spots where great moments in British Open history took place.
Golfers may choose to engage the services of a professional forecaddie adding to the "Scottish" experience. The forecaddies are knowledgeable about the history of each hole, as well the location of the 108 pot bunkers, some of which are hidden. Walking caddies are also available and are required for those who choose to walk.

Royal Links Golf Club has the pot bunkers and wild grasses reminiscent of courses in Scotland and Ireland which it is meant to replicate. If you can stay out of the "rough" you will have an enjoyable round. The greens were pretty true and the fairways, though dormant, were in good condition.

I was able to get a great deal to play here, I think partly because of the time of year and the fact they were slow. Each hole is suppose to be a replica of a hole on a course where British Opens have been played. Not sure how true to life each was, but a fun and challenging layout. The conditions were a little less than average for the area, but playable for sure. Would play again for the if offered a comparable rate to what I paid.

Day 9 - 100 days, 100 courses (Friday, March 22, 2019)
You could mash your drive and just watch it roll. Even if you miss it, your drive it generally still turned out alright because the ball just rolled and rolled and rolled.
It would have been a lot more fun if it weren't for the 110 bunkers only 10 of which you can see from the tee box. Quite often those endless rolls ended up in one of these bunkers. An interesting tidbit about pot bunkers - the ball always ends up within 6 inches of the forward face leaving you NO SHOT.
I was lucky enough to play with three gentlemen from Ohio: Dan, Steve, and Ken. Dan and Ken have been coming to Vegas for March Madness for 30 years.
Throughout the round, we got continuous updates on basketball scores and endless handwringing over their bets. They were great sports and even played some good golf.
